The Berthoud Schools Fund was formed to raise funds, through a once a year function (The Berthoud BASH), to go towards the immediate needs of our four Berthoud Schools. The process for allocating funds begins with the BSF Board and the four school Principals. The four principals submit a “wish list” of their greatest needs of educational tools. The first year all four principals expressed a need for technology related educational tools in our schools. The decision on “how” the funds are spent is decided by The Board of Directors of the Berthoud Schools Fund. The funds are not split evenly between all schools, they are distributed based on determined need and immediacy of impact on our students. The short term goal is to create the 21st century Classroom in K-8 and bringing document cameras and a progress toward student laptops at the High School.

With the success of the 1st Annual Berthoud BASH, we were able to make a $60,000+ dent in the technology needs of our schools.
